Summer colds

Summer colds Is there anything worse than a summer cold? I mean, its hot out, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I'm curled up on the sofa wrapped in a blanket with a brown grocery bag filled with used tissues always at my side. How did I get this thing has been crossing my mind. Who would be so insensitive to give me their heinous germs. No one at home is sick.....yet, so even if i wanted to blame a family member, I couldn't. That's brings up another point, doesn't it suck when you can't find someone else to blame for what is going wrong in your life? Always in a state of trying to harness a sneeze makes for some very unflattering facial contortions. The red nose, rubbed that way even though you have the aloe laced tissues, also doesn't help matters either. Just as an aside, never try to clean your glasses with a lotion infused tissue. A cup of chicken noodle soup was left steaming on the table in front of me but I haven't the energy to get up, so it will soon be as unappetizing as it is unreachable. The crackers seem to require to much effort first to chew, then to deal with the ensuing mess of crumbs. I am being mocked by my lunch. Daytime TV leaves much to be desired. I flip channels without even bothering to see what's on because everything seems boring. If its not an infomercial, its a judge type thing, or a movie with people who have been dead so long even their surviving ancestors have no idea who they are. My eyes close sporadically, sometimes for a second, others for an amount of time that may be minutes, but has you feeling as if you've been asleep for hours. The lawnmowers next door prevent any real chance of sleep. So does my who feels it is her job to lick my face every time she walks into the room. Can a catch a human cold? I need a nap. I've needed one as soon as I woke up feeling as crappy as I do. Seems like such a waste of a beautiful summer day. I mean, IF you need to be inside all day, there are other, more fun ways to do it than in my jammies with a snout full of gunk. I'm done for now. Pass the Ny-Quil, i don't care what time it is! |

I used to always get sick in the summer time; all out flu symptoms. usually started cause of cleaning and dust allergies. Then provoked more with a fan/ac on me all night. maybe you got sick under similar conditions? regardless hope you feel better hun.

that sux cutie...hang in there better days are soon to come. As for your dog...dont worry. when was the last time you saw a dog with a box of tissues  sorry. bad joke. smile!

Hey Lala, just make sure you didn't get a tick bite. Lyme disease has the highest rate in Connecticut. Don't want to scare you but just check.
