Favorite Movie "Answer to Pandoras box question". Made me think. how about you?
Favorite Movie "Answer to Pandoras box question". Made me think. how about you? There are so many. The one that stands out for me is "American History X" Hate crimes and violence was the genre. It impacted me in way that's hard to describe, but past actions don't only touch our lives but so many around us, and at some point you can't always fix what we wish we could. When I was in school for law enforcement I was required to do a project on hate crimes. I took clips from history and current events all depicting unspeakable acts inflicted on others. I did not feel it was necessary to narrate what was being seen. When I did my presentation as a special effect I played the song "what the world need now is love sweet love" Not a dry eye in the class room. It was heart wrenching to see grown up men and women who had seen so much hatred already, still have so much compassion and thought provoking emotions. Most of the comments after class had been the choice of background music. Its hard to hear a beautiful song with such meaning and love behind it while you are watching such horrific scenes. Sorry I did not intend to write a book but your question was thought provoking and the movie did change my life. Thanks for the reminder ! Page: Prev 1 2 |

I love American History X. It's about redemption and forgiveness. That movie made me an Ed Norton fan. But the movie that made me think the most was The Last Temptation of Christ. Whether you're a Christian or not, the movie makes you wonder if you could sacrifice your being for someone else.
