A Shield Of Cardboard

A Shield Of Cardboard, Sounds like some shitty shield huh? What kind of shield would that be? How could it ever possibly protect someone? Why would anyone choose that of all things?

Well the thing is, I didn't choose it.

This 'shield' was gave to me at birth, as was for everyone else. Some of us were born with those of iron, steel or bronze, While others got paper or cardboard.

This means not all of us have the capability to protect ourselves, not just from others, but from thoughts and words. Other people don't worry about anything getting past their shield of steel, but for some of us have everything pass threw it.

I didn't choose this shield, but I will re-enforce it with everything I can, And I will try to protect myself.

 The truth is no ones shield is ever impenetrable. The secret lies in learning to love yourself, your uniqueness, your value & your worth. Once you do that not a thing in this world can hurt you. You're amazing & you're one of a kind. Surround yourself with people who see that. Xx
