Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood Was up early watching all the early bird joggers savor the morning air before the day turns into a scorcher.. .later cooled by the arrival of afternoon torrential rains.. Typical day here, now that summer has arrived. |

 Another beautiful day in the Neighborhood. Not a scorcher like last time I posted. Spent the morning cutting grass and watching all the beautiful people jog by. So nice chat with real people that you can see.  I'm amazed at the number of folks online who view this posting.. WOW. Have a great day everyone !!!!

A different beautiful day in the neighborhood today. Instead of the hot, humid weather with blue skies, we have overcase and rain. But it was nice to hear that water float down from the clouds and moisten all of the parched plants and trees.... now it all looks dark green. .the way it should . Also great sex weather.. whose UP?

What a week in my neighborhood..... Rain Rain Go Away.. and Stay Away. We had 24" of rain in two days.... the area around our city is flooded... sooooo many lost homes due to flash flooding. Never would have dreamed that this could happen. Lend a helping hand to all those unfortunate to have been flooded out. And to our neighbors in Baton Rouge and west of us, we pray for your speedy recovery

Little did I know when I posted last month in all that rain what a disaster two straight days of hard, constant rain would bring. Thousands are without homes and cars as a result of flash flooding.... its mind boggling !!! Thankfully I am high and dry but I will admit to constantly looking out my windows for rising water levels..... Now the long hot, sweltering days of summer have returned... but hey its Football season and that means cooler days cant be too far off....Open up a cool brew and enjoy the day !!

Hows YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD ??? Let me know. I must say I was disappointed last few weeks seeing how football has started and the steamy weather continues. BUT, we are "promised" a cool front tonight and a wonderful chill in the morning.. So here's to a delightful Friday afternoon, sipping a nice cocktail in our fall weather.. What are you doing??

.. well I think our typical winter drizzle has finally arrived. What a bummer these last few days. Sure dampens the holiday season.. and the neighborhood jogging. Hopefully only one more day of this then nice crisp jacket weather. Wishing all a good start to the Holiday Season

well.... 2017 has finally arrived in typical southern fashion.. sweltering heat, followed by sub freezing temps for a few days and now bright sunning skies and soon Bermuda shorts weather... only here. I for one am thankful for the return of warmer weather, especially when I see the frozen northern states.. Out for a brisk walk this morning... wont you join me??

.... Ash Wednesday has finally arrived. The cheering crowds are gone, the beads and trinkets, stuffed animals and doubloons are sitting in a corner wondering what will happen to them next and its time to unwind. What a 3 weeks!! At least the weather was cooperative on Mardi Gras Day and all had a great time. Until next year..

Wow... rain again... great day for SEX in the City, isn't it ?? But it will blow over and we'll have a nice weekend....maybe. Have lots of activity planned this next few days...parties, birthdays, family get togethers. hope all of you have a similar experience.

Wonderful Day in the Neighborhood.... big storm was to pass through last night, but it was a shushu... just enough rain to dampen the flowers and make them perky this morning. AND.. enough rain to wash the streets a bit so they are clean for the beginning of Festivals Acadienne.. a 4 day francophone music fest here in Lafayette. Food, Music from many different French speaking countries, drink good friends, lots of visitors from around the world... and its FREE. If you haven't tried it, you'll like it.
