Where oh WHERE

Has summer gone??? Wait a minute did we even HAVE a summer?? I don't know about anyone elses summer, but the one I have had so far is something I wouldn't call SUMMER.

Here we are almost to the middle of August, that boggles my brain all by itself, and to date here in my charming state of Michigan, at least where I reside, we have barely managed to get out of the 70's every day, much less into the mid to high 80's!.

Now there are some advantages to that, I have not had to cut the grass as often, especially as my is now holding hands yet again with a deployment, the job falls to me. But along with the less than warm weather we have not had rain here in well over a week either. Now that means higher water bills!! I have a garden of veggies as well as trying to keep my grass from looking like some brown straw matt!!.

Have you ever noticed on one hand when you are anticipating something wonderful, it seems that the time draaaaggggsssss and it never gets here for ever. YET, if there is some unpleasantness the thing arrives before you can blink!!!.

For the major part of the summer, I have actually done not much of ANYTHING!!. In early July, I got the happy happy joy joy of going to Little Rock, Ark. for my sons deployment. Up until the day I had to let him walk on that bus taking him away it was pretty nice, that day sucked!!!.

After next week, I get to live my entire summer in just a few cramped weeks. A trip to Vegas is in there, thats the one that is DRAGGGGGGGING to get here. Early September, I have to go to Chicago. I have meetings that I am looking forward to. Don't it make you wonder why it's either feast or famine??

Well, I have to go move my sprinkler, as it is now watering my garden, after I spent almost an hour pulling endless weeds which seem to be thriving amid all the rest of this weather.

 That is one of the GREAT things about living in Puerto Rico it is summer all year around. and it is only August you have a lot of time left.
