This is the coolest. I sense the pride in your words. Ive always said....never miss a chance to make a memory. U done well dad . Kudos !! It was a bit more than that 'Poppa pride' thingy; it was an out-of-body experience. The band duplicated the CD â to the tee â which is tough on those two songs, and her vocals were off the charts. I was floating there, listening, watching as the songs unfolded; it's a rare experience. Have you ever been a part of something and yet watched it from a distance? ðĪ Are you into live music OR musicians? lol ð They're sooo trippy! Each summer, I'd enjoy the festival scene here in parks and places like that; they give you a chair to sit on. lol ð It's been quiet for a few years now, obviously. Anything opening up over there or are things still locked ð up? ðĪ Music venues are open in my area and most of them are requiring proof of vaccination or a recent negative Covid test. Iâve still been feeling a little hesitant about being in a crowded indoor space, but Iâm thinking about getting back on the volunteer schedule at the nonprofit venue I used to volunteer at.

Pretty fantastic! My daughter plays and sings around town some. I don't think I could manage to play with her but we have in the past at home. She used to do standup comedy and one night read something I had wrote to her about a dream I had while I was there. Nothing beats watching your kids do well at something.

I've attended an open-mic night at several clubs, and I've been dared, but I never had... uhm... the material ready. Your daughter sounds diverse. She's very talented... in a lot of different ways. The genes she gets directly from me are probably more the stubborn and angry kind; it's her immediate reaction to not understanding something. She had several opportunities to take her standup out on the road but declined as she likes to have a life I think.

Music seems to create a bond that mends the stereotypes of broken bonds and builds bridges between generations. I believe it has a lot to do with how a creative mind is wired.
