I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays of whatever kind you may celebrate for those who are not Christians. I also hope that 2015 is the Best Year for you yet, filled with Love, Peace, Good Health, Good Luck and Happiness!
I have fallen behind on the blogs I've been watching as I've been tied up with a couple of projects upon which I've been working. I'm hoping to get caught up with those again once I am caught up with these other things.

Will Obama Lead to the Downfall of the United States?

LadyLeo1949 had an interesting graphic which she posted yesterday at [post 3540354] in which she asked people to comment. This is my response there to a comment which was made stating that the current regime would be the downfall of this country.
Back in November, 2006, I posted Why George W Bush Is the Worst President We Ever Had in my blog. In my blog, I said, "that it will take us decades to clean up the mess he left behind." I explained exactly why I felt that way then. I still feel that way now. That graphic you posted Lady Leo is COMPLETELY accurate!
When Barack Obama became president in January, 2009, the economy was facing its worse crisis since the Great Depression. It was on the verge of total collapse, with at least a half million people having lost their jobs over each of the last four months of the Bush administration, with that figure being over 600,000 jobs lost in each of the last three months before Bush left office. When the latest unemployment figures were announced last week, 321,000 jobs were added in November, with over 2.73 million jobs added in the past 12 months. November was also the 50th straight month of positive jobs growth, the longest such period since 1939.
Obama also inherited the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The war in Afghanistan was justified, as the Taliban had been harboring bin Laden and al Qaida, who were responsible for the 9/11 attacks on the US. The war in Iraq was not. Bush's claims that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction and was aligned with bin Laden were total fabricated Bushshit. Yes, Obama did oversee the withdrawal of our combat troops from Iraq. That withdrawal however, was done because the Iraqi government wanted our troops withdrawn and it was done by the terms of an agreement signed by the Iraqi government and George W. Bush in the last days before he left office.
Bush was also totally irresponsible when he used the national credit card to pay for the two wars, for his huge tax breaks for the wealthy, for Medicare expansion and a number of other things in the course of his presidency. It got to the point where Bush's last budget ran a deficit of some $1.4 trillion. Obama has overseen the largest deficit reduction since the end of World War II. The deficit has been reduced by about $800 billion since Obama took office. Over $400 billion of that has been in the past year, in large part due to the savings for health care costs arising from Obamacare.
The United States is probably more polarized now than at any time since the Civil War. Part of this is the fault of Obama and the Democrats, but I feel that a much larger share of the blame for the political paralysis we are suffering through has to fall on the shoulders and heads of the Republicans in Congress. When Obama first took office, Republican congressional leaders met and consciously decided that they would not cooperate with Obama on ANYTHING so that Obama would appear to be ineffective as a leader and to try to ensure that he would be a one term president. It got so bad that on several issues, when Obama had endorsed Republican sponsored proposals, the Republicans who had sponsored the bills renounced their support and opposed them just so that Obama would not get any credit for them.
There are many things with which I disagree with Obama. His endorsement of a continuation of the so-called Patriot Act continues the erosion of the Bill of Rights which has been going on for a long time under presidents of both parties. His use of the NSA is a direct assault on the 1st and 4th Amendments. His failure to criminally prosecute the bankers responsible for the financial meltdown in 2007 and 2008 allowed the guilty ones to again hold us hostage to their risky ventures to the point where another collapse is quite possible. There are a number of others, but this comment is already too long as it is.
I don't feel that this regime is going to be the downfall of this country. I think that what is going to be the downfall of the country will be the polarization, which has caused the gridlock and paralysis in Washington. Because of this, the serious issues facing our country are not being addressed, to the detriment of all of us. THAT is what will lead to the downfall of this country.
I welcome any comments you may have. Please try to keep things civil without any name calling or personal attacks. I have found that the first side in a debate to resort to personal attacks is normally the side with the weaker arguments.

Doctor Makes a House Call

This is a short story I had posted in the Magazine section a couple of months ago and decided to post here as well. I hope you all enjoy it.
The tall, slender, dark haired man, dressed in scrubs and carrying a laptop and a small bag over his shoulders, walked up to the door of the large well maintained house and rang the door bell. A moment or two later, the door was opened by a very attractive woman wearing a silky blue robe whose auburn hair was still wet, as if she had just emerged from a shower.
“Ms. Patience?” he asked the auburn haired, blue eyed woman in front of him. Upon seeing her nod, he continued. “I'm Dr. Seymour Kuntz, and I'm here for your appointment.”
She giggled at his name as she opened the door to let him in. “Come in, doctor.” After he had entered her home, she closed the door and said, “I'm Patience.
“It's a good thing for you, especially since you mentioned that you are not crazy about driving to strange places, that you have a doctor who enjoys making house calls.
I even have some special equipment that I developed myself for assisting me in making my examinations. I am hopeful that this new equipment will make your examination much more enjoyable for you.”
Patience led the doctor through the living room and toward the stairs leading to the second floor. The doctor looked around the spacious room, noting the comfortable furniture, the photos and paintings on the walls, and how neat and orderly
everything was. They walked up the stairs, with the doctor watching his patient's well rounded derriere and firm calves and thighs as he followed her to the second floor and into the master bedroom.
Dr. Kuntz and Patience stood together in the bedroom as Patience removed her robe, revealing the slinky, almost see through nightie whose deep blue color matched her eyes and the robe she had just removed. Patience explained, “I'm wearing this particular nightie so that I won't get too overheated.”
The flush that was rapidly becoming evident on her face and over much of her body, combined with the heat that was exuded from her expressive blue eyes made it apparent to the doctor that despite her efforts, she was in fact becoming overheated. Dr. Kuntz asked. “Have you been having any problems with being overheated?”
Patience blushed as she replied, “Lately, it's been happening a lot. I'm only 34, so I'm too young for menopause, so I thought I should be examined to make sure it's nothing serious causing this.”
“I see, ” replied the doctor. “I'll try to determine the cause during my examination to see whether it is caused by some illness or from something else.”
Very gently and softly, the doctor began to caress her face, checking her temperature with his sensitive fingers, noting that her forehead felt normal and was not feverish. He then asked Patience to open her mouth and he looked inside, finding that everything seemed to be normal there as well. After asking her to close her mouth, the doctor moved his lips to hers, wanting to make sure that they were in good shape as well.
After a few minutes of examining her lips with his, the doctor had Patience sit on the side of the bed. He then sat beside her and moved his lips along her neck, making sure that she didn't have any swollen glands there, pressing his lips and tongue from time to time to be sure, and then lightly nuzzling her with his nice soft beard to test her reactions.
Eventually, his lips reached her ear, and after covering his teeth with his lips, the doctor gently nibbled on her earlobes noting the shiver that traveled all over her body
as he slid the tip of his tongue into her ear to probe and make sure it was ok.
After thoroughly examining her ear with his tongue, he then begin to kiss, lick, nibble and nuzzle his way from that ear, all along her throat and around to the other side,
where he repeat his thorough examination on this ear. After finishing the examination of this ear, he again kissed her lips and stood up. He told her, “You don't seem to be feverish, but I need to use my special temperature probe to determine that for sure.”
Dr. Kuntz then slid the pants of his scrubs down and Patience licked her lips as she gazed upon his special temperature probe. He asked her to open her mouth and then slid the temperature probe between her lips and into her mouth. Feeling her soft lips and her energetic tongue as they caressed his probe inside of her wet warm mouth, he said, “We will have to leave the probe inside of your mouth for a little while in order to ensure that it gets an accurate reading.”
Patience gave him a warm smile, letting him know that that was ok with her. Knowing that they needed to get accurate readings from all parts of her mouth, Patience slid the probe in and out of her mouth, gently sucking on it with her lips and licking all over it with her tongue. The doctor moved his hands to the back of her head, gently holding her head and running his fingers through her hair, massaging her scalp as her temperature was being taken by his probe.
In and out of her mouth moved his probe, gathering data from all over the inside of her mouth. Faster and faster her mouth moved on his probe, as she heard low moans escaping from his mouth, letting her know that the results of his probe would be coming very soon. Feeling her sucking on his probe, licking it as it moved faster and faster into her mouth. his moans were getting louder, his breath coming only in
gasps now as the results got closer and closer.
Faster and harder she sucked on his probe. Licking the head of the probe, she gave the doctor yet another rush as he got closer and closer to providing her with the results of his probing. Finally, he let Patience know that the results were about to be released. She moved so that just the tip of the probe was inside of her mouth as his probe released the results of her oral exam into her mouth and he collapsed beside her on the bed.
After regaining control of himself, Dr. Kuntz wrapped his arms around Patience and gave her a deep passionate kiss, letting her know how much he appreciated her patience in having her temperature taken. Holding her oh so close to him in his arms, kissing her with ever increasing passion, he began caressing Patience through her silky slinky nightie as he prepared to continue his examination of her.
They began by removing the remainder of her nightie. Once that had been removed, the doctor gazed upon her sexy nude body for a moment before he removed the shirt part of his scrubs. Now that they were both nude together on the bed, he leaned over her and gave her a nice gentle kiss. When their lips had parted, he moved his lips down her throat and explored where her collarbone meets her neck with light kisses,
nibbles and nuzzles of his nice soft beard.
Slowly, slowly his lips moved down from her collarbone, thoroughly examining the upper part of her chest before approaching her breasts. He begin by examining her breasts with his fingertips, making sure that there were no lumps about which they needed to be concerned. After completing the digital portion of his examination of her breasts, he moved his lips to the base of her one breast and gently kissed and licked it as he began the oral part of her breast exam. Lightly kissing, licking and nibbling on her breast, he moved his lips in a slow spiral around her breast, taking his time to make sure that his lips had thoroughly examined every part of it before he finally arrived at her erect nipple. Noting that the temperature in the bedroom was quite warm and far from being chilly, he wondered what could possibly be causing her nipples to be so erect. Ah, another mystery to be resolved.
Before bringing his lips to her hard nipple, he first moved his beard over her breast and very softly and gently caressed her nipple with it, turning his head back and forth over the tip of her erect nipple to see how she would react. Seeing yet another round of goose bumps appearing on her body, he then moved his lips towards her nipple, sticking his tongue out and flicking the tip of his tongue around the tip before sucking it between his lips and gently nursing on her. After nursing and nibbling on her nipple for a little while, he then turned his attention to her other breast and repeated his examination of it.
After the completion of her breast exam, he began to move lower, examining her abdomen, gently pressing it with his fingers, caressing it with his soft beard, and then finally kissing, licking and lightly nibbling her there. He then moved down to her hip and then down along her thigh to her knee, kissing, licking, and lightly nibbling as he went, occasionally nuzzling her with his soft beard.
Lying between her legs, he lifted her leg and began to stimulate that sensitive spot behind her knee, feeling the goosebumps that appeared on her thighs with his fingers which were still lightly caressing her thighs, slowly moving up and down them as he licked and nibbled the back of her knee. He then began to move back up along the sensitive inside of her thigh, kissing, licking, nibbling and nuzzling his way up, moving very, very slowly, up two inches and then back down an inch. Slowly, slowly, he worked his way up along the inside of her thigh, hearing slight gasps and low moans escaping from her lips as he did so.
He reached the top of her thigh and slipped his tongue into the joint where the top of her thigh connects with her trunk. After licking there for a moment or two, he then proceeded to examine her other thigh, lightly caressing it with feathery light touches of his fingertips, soft gentle kisses, light nibbles, and the occasional flicks of his tongue or nuzzles of his beard. He arrived at her knee, and he stimulated the back of this one, knowing how she was enjoying what he was doing to her from her words, her gasps, her moans and from the other reactions of her sweet sexy body.
Finally satisfied that the back of her knee has been adequately stimulated, he then resumed his very, very slow journey back up along the inside of her thigh, moving up two inches, then down an inch, stimulating her and teasing her as he went. As he moved up along the inside of her sensitive thigh, he also begin to demonstrate to Patience his own version of stirrups, utilizing his shoulders to spread her legs wide open so that he would be able to continue her examination.
Lying there with his head between her wide spread legs, Dr. Kuntz gazed upon the gates of heaven that were now in front of him. He took a deep breath, and detected the enticing, extremely arousing aroma that was escaping from her gates. He noticed how they appeared to be swollen and for some reason appeared to be slightly damp. This phenomenon of course had to be more fully investigated, which is what he proceeded to do.
Slipping his new and improved version of the speculum from between his lips, Dr. Kuntz began by brushing just the tip of the speculum into the bottom of her heavenly gates. Taking his time to ensure a thorough examination and test of the new speculum, he slipped its tip inside of Nirvana and tasted her heavenly nectar, slowly moving it from the base of her labia all the way up until he discovered a small bump at the top of her labia. The doctor noticed that for some reason, Patience became all excited as his lips and his speculum explored and stimulated this small bump.
He continued to stimulate it with his speculum for a little bit, noting her reactions, and how she seemed to be getting close to the edge of something or other. When Dr. Kuntz felt that Patience might be getting a little too close to whatever edge that was, he lifted his face and removed his lips and his speculum from her small bump. He told her that it was so that she would be able to calm down a little bit and not get so excited from his examination of her.
After giving Patience a couple of minutes to calm down a little bit, Dr. Kuntz resumed his examination, this time concentrating on the area a little below that sensitive bump that he had discovered earlier. He then proceeded to bring his lips and speculum to her heavenly gates, sliding his speculum between them so that it could partake of her nectar that is stored there. After sliding his speculum in and out of her sweet tasting honey pot for a bit, he licked her with his speculum from the bottom to the top, after which he rubbed his beard along the same path. The doctor wanted to make sure that his beard was completely coated with her nectar, taking advantage of the special conditioning qualities of her nectar to keep his beard nice and soft. Once again, he noticed that she seemed to be getting entirely too excited by this, so he again moved his face away from her to give her a chance to calm down again.
For some reason, Patience seemed to be groaning in what almost sounded like frustration, so after she had calmed down a bit, he resumed his oral exam of her with his lips and speculum, as well as nuzzling his beard against her from time to time as well to ensure that it remained well soaked with her special conditioners.
This time though, he decided to add yet another stimulus to her exam, slipping first his social finger, then his index finger in between her heavenly gates, feeling her vaginal muscles as they squeezed his fingers. He began to slide his fingers in and out of her, finding this small rough spot on the roof of her vagina, and began stimulating that rough spot with his fingertips. He continued doing this while his lips and speculum returned to that little bump that had seemed to be so sensitive earlier.
Dr. Kuntz gently sucked on her little bump with his lips, flicking the tip of his speculum across its tip while sliding his fingers in and out between her heavenly gates. He noticed that Patience had become quite wet there and was now gasping for breath. He would have removed his face from her in concern that she might have been having some sort of seizure except that she now had his face trapped against her with her thighs as they wrapped around and squeezed his head. He also noticed that her hips were moving up and down with increased rapidity and that if he wasn't careful, he could end up with a swollen lip.
Deciding to try not to remove his lips and speculum from her bump as he didn't want to end up with a sprained neck from the attempt, he continued to stimulate the bump while his fingers lightly caressed that rough spot inside of her vagina. Even with his ears being so closely held by her thighs, he could hear her moans and an occasional scream every once in a while. Patience's hips are also moving up and down even harder and faster than they had been earlier.
“Surely enough, ” thought Dr. Kuntz to himself, “I'm going to end up with a swollen lip.” For some reason, he look upon that as a badge of honor.
Faster and faster his speculum moved across her bump.
Harder and harder his fingertips caressed that small rough spot.
In and out of her his fingers flew.
Deeper and deeper his fingers went inside of her.
Faster.
Harder.
Deeper.
Her breath was coming in quick, almost constant gasps as she got closer and closer to her release.
Dr. Kuntz continued sucking on her button while his speculum rapidly wrapped itself around it, trying to stimulate it in whatever ways he could.
Rubbing her rough spot inside of her faster and faster.
Feeling her getting closer.
Faster.
Harder.
Deeper.
Her hips were rapidly moving up and down.
Deeper.
Harder.
Faster.
In and out of her he slid his fingers.
Harder.
Deeper.
Faster.
His speculum flying across her button.
Faster.
Deeper.
Harder.
His fingers rubbing across her G spot.
Her moans were getting louder and louder as she got closer and closer to the edge.
She's almost there.
Any second.
Harder.
Faster.
Deeper.
Just about there.
Deeper.
Harder.
Faster.
Getting REAL close.
Faster.
Harder.
Deeper.
Patience is about to let go.
Harder.
Deeper.
Faster.
She's on the brink.
Deeper.

Patience let it go, raising her hips two feet off the bed as she pushed incredibly hard against the doctor's face. He could feel her squirting all over his beard as her G spot reacted to all of the stimulation it had received. His ears hurt from being squeezed so hard, and it's a good thing that no one was around or else they would be checking after hearing her screams to make sure that she was not being tortured.
Finally, Patience released his head from between her thighs, enabling Dr. Kuntz to finally breathe again. He slowly crawled up to lie down beside her and held her in his arms, kissing her gently as she returned to earth. Once she was back among the living, their kisses went from being soft and gentle to again being filled with passion. Patience moved on top of the doctor, straddling him as their kisses continued to grow in intensity as she begin to rub herself against his now revived temperature probe. While he was holding her in his arms, kissing her and caressing her, he felt her moving around on top of his probe. The doctor felt his probe becoming more and more lubricated by her actions, and then suddenly it entered between her heavenly gates and began its examination.
Feeling as if his probe was surrounded by a tight wet velvet glove, he felt Patience lifting her hips so that he was almost outside of her before she lowered herself again to meet his thrusting hips. A moan escaped from between their joined lips. Dr. Kuntz couldn't tell if it was from him or from Patience, although he strongly suspect that it was from both of them together. Slowly she lifted herself up and then lowered herself onto him again.
Dr. Kuntz thought to himself, “This is DEFINITELY Heaven!!!”
He felt that being joined with Patience as they were made them feel as though they were one person. With him being inside of her and feeling her tongue as it explored inside of his mouth, doing its dance of desire with his speculum, they continued this aspect of her examination.
Slowly, she increased the speed of her motions up and down onto his probe. Their lips parted as they begin to gasp for breath as their excitement grew.
Faster and faster she moved on him.
Deeper and deeper his probe went into her.
Harder and harder they pushed against each other, wanting nothing more than to make sure the other was TOTALLY pleasured and satisfied.
Harder.
Faster.
Deeper.
Their passions increased exponentially.
Deeper.
Faster.
Harder.
Their excitement continued to grow.
Faster.
Deeper.
Harder.
Dr. Kuntz could feel how they were both getting closer to the edge.

They were almost there.

Getting even closer.

They were both about to let go.
They were now oh so close to the edge.
He tried to hold off with all of his strength, wanting to cum at the same time as she did.
All of a sudden, he heard her scream and he felt her inner muscles as they squeezed his probe, letting him know of her climax as he pushed deep inside of her and completely let go, injecting his liquids inside of her to join with her nectar as it prepared to enter her womb.
Patience collapsed onto the doctor in exhaustion and they both lied there together holding each other while they began to recover. Once they had begun to breathe relatively normally again, they exchanged a nice gentle kiss and just held each other, thankful that everything with her examination was as perfect as it could be.
Dr. Kuntz gave Patience another light kiss and said, “I hope that helped you feel better.”
Patience giggled and replied, “That was intense! We'll have to do that again sometime soon!”
She looked at the clock beside the bed, gave him another kiss and said, “I wish we had more time, but we have to be over at mom's for dinner in 45 minutes. We should have just enough time to get a quick shower and get there in time to eat. I do hope the behaved for her.”
“I'm sure they behaved, ” replied her husband. “Who knows? Maybe in another nine months they'll have a baby brother or sister to join them at their grandparents' house so we can do this again.”
She snuggled into him and gave him another kiss. “I love you and I would like nothing better to have another baby with you.”
“I love you too and I would thoroughly enjoy having another baby with you.”
Sliding out of bed, he gently pulled her out of the bed, held her and kissed her then said, “But, if we are going to continue having free babysitting service from your parents, we need to get going and get our shower.”
They did manage to get a quick shower, got dressed and were only five minutes late arriving at her parent's house.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope that everyone has been enjoying their Thanksgiving Day holiday, the camaraderie of being with loved ones and of course savoring the flavor of all of that delicious food!
Be thankful for all of the blessings you have in this life, whatever those blessings may be for you. Also take a moment to fondly think of those who are unable to be with you on this holiday for whatever reason, and remember the good times you have shared with them.
As we enter this holiday season, let us all remember that his is supposed to be the time of year where we make an extra effort to show peace and goodwill toward others. Let us all take that extra step to show the courtesy and respect to others which we expect just because we and they are people. Amid the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we can do simple things, such as hold a door open for someone loaded down with packages or greeting someone with a smile who may be having a rough day. You will find that not only did you lighten the burden of others, but that you will also feel better yourself.
I wish everyone Love, Peace, Good Health and Happiness in their lives now and for many years into the future.

Let me hold you close while we watch the snow
Getting colder out, temps falling real low
We’re warm in here, feeling real snug
Because I’m holding you in a nice gentle hug.
Let me hold you close while we watch the snow
With light sweet caresses my hands move real slow
You gaze at me with a smile upon your face
Slow is good, you do like my pace.
Let me hold you close while we watch the snow
Our glasses touch together as the wine does flow
To us together we do make our toast
Whether we’re in the mountains or down by the coast.
Let me hold you close while we watch the snow
The wind outside howling, how hard it does blow
The warmth we are feeling is not just from the fire
As our passions increase ever steadily higher.
Let me hold you close while we watch the snow
Watching the drifts as they continue to grow
Looks like we’ll be stuck inside together
We’re both thankful for this beautiful weather.
Although we haven't had snow yet, the colder temps have moved in, so it's only a matter of time. As part of my mental preparations for winter, I ran across this poem I wrote a few years ago which I thought I would share with you.

Lonely on the Road - A Poem

This is a poem I had written in the Spring of 2003 after I had driven cross country by myself from Philly to Phoenix, AZ. Please let me know what you think.
Lonely on the Road
I’m feeling down, lonely on the road
My van is all packed with a full load
Listening to my music feeling the blues
Some nice company I surely could use.
Driving down the road mile after mile
Sure would be great to see your nice smile
Gazing across to see the wide mesas
Would like to share with you these incredible places.
Crosswinds pushing me from side to side
Make me think again what a lonely ride
Looking across Mountains covered by clouds
Deep dark gray appearing as shrouds.
Wall of dark clouds move across the sand
Slowly as if pushed by invisible hand
Along with the clouds comes down pouring rains
Washing the earth, removing the stains.
Driving along I’m feeling real tired
Too much coffee my stomach’s real wired
Pulling over for a stop I think it is best
If I nap for a while and take a short rest.
It’s been a long day, I stop for the night
Sure would be nice to have you here in my sight
I decide to go out and have a nice meal
If you were with me, much better I’d feel.
Driving along seeing the bright chrome
My thoughts are wandering ready to roam
Wishing you were here by my side
Would certainly make this a less lonely ride.
Crossing the border into Grand Canyon State
Moving along at a fast steady rate
Knowing I only have a few more hours to ride
Makes me feel much better inside.
After three thousand miles I get to where I’m going
My Granddaughter’s smile is positively glowing
Not sure if this long drive again I will try
The next time out, I think I will fly.

BBW Tonight's Instant Messenger Leaves a LOT to be Desired!

Trying to use the Instant Messenger here on BBW Tonight can be a very frustrating experience to say the least, a sentiment to which I'm sure many here will attest. I'm beginning to think that BBW Tonight obtained their IM system from the world's largest software company because of how many bugs and glitches there are in it.
I often run the IM in the background while I'm doing other things on my computer and then check it from time to time to see if there is anyone on with whom I would like to chat. I don't know how many times I have come back to it to see that it has crashed on me. It's particularly frustrating to be in the middle of a chat with someone and it crashes either on the other person or on me.
I do like the separate area for people on my Friends' List, but for the past week or so there seems to be a problem with that as well. For some reason, my invitations to chat to the people on my Friends' List do not seem to be going through to the person I'm trying to reach. The chat window will either continuously say "Sending" and nothing happens beyond that, or I will receive a "Waiting for Response" message which never seems to be answered. Although it's a possibility, I really don't think that ALL of the people on my Friends' List are mad at me at the same time!
I've now gotten to the point where when I am able to get through to someone I've chatted with before, I will often ask that person to switch to another, outside chat program because of the constant crashes and all of the other problems with the Instant Messenger here. It's a shame, because the Instant Messenger could be a useful tool for getting people together if it worked right.
Has anyone else run into any of these kinds of problems with the Instant Messenger here on BBW Tonight? If so, how were you able to work around those problems you encountered? Or did you just give up on it and not even bother with it anymore?

Everyone in the US, PLEASE Remember to Vote Today!

I just wanted to remind everyone that today in the United States is Election Day. The direction in which our country moves over the next two years will be determined by what happens at the polls today.
I hear people complaining about the gridlock in Washington and how nothing gets done to address the many serious problems our country faces. This past Congress has been the least productive Congress since the end of World War II. If the Republicans gain control of the Senate, believe it or not, it could get even worse!
Millions of Americans now have health care for the first time because of the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare. Mitch McConnell, the current Senate Minority Leader who would become Majority Leader if the Republicans take over the Senate, has pledged to repeal Obamacare if the Republicans controlled the Senate. This will be an exercise in total futility, just as the House's more than fifty attempts to repeal it in the past session had been. Even if they take control of the Senate, the Republicans won't have nearly enough votes to overturn Obama's certain veto of the bill. While they're fiddling and farting around wasting time trying to repeal health care for millions who need it at the behest of their corporate masters in the insurance industry, other important issues will continue to be ignored.
Income inequality is now at the highest ratio it has been since the onset of the Great Depression, and is considered to be a major cause of the Depression and the economic crisis we had a few years ago. The middle class is struggling just to keep roofs over their heads and feed their while the wealthiest are making obscene amounts of money after cutting the pay and benefits of those whose work made them that money. Pay equity for women, who currently earn less than 80% of what men make for doing the same work, has been blocked by the Republicans in Congress, and I don't see anything being done about it if they gain control of the Senate.
Our public education system was once the best in the world and was looked upon by other countries as a model for how to educate to prepare them to enter society as productive citizens. Sadly, that is no longer the case as our schools have been so starved of funding so that the students no longer know how to think critically so they can ask questions which need to be asked and answered. Many students and teachers are more worried about whether they will be assaulted or physically attacked in some way, than they are in learning. This is hardly conducive to gaining an education. Attempts to reduce the interest rates on student loans so that people coming out of college or graduate school don't have tens of thousands of dollars in debt hanging over their heads as they enter the working world were blocked by Republicans at the behest of their masters in the banking industry.
Our infrastructure, the roads, bridges, mass transit systems and other things that connect our society and hold it together, will continue to crumble around us. Attempts to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and switch to more renewable sources of energy to reduce climate change will go nowhere in a new Republican Congress.
Besides blocking pay equity for women, many Republicans are in favor of what is called "Personhood" legislation, which would outlaw many of the most effective methods of birth control. There are others who will attempt to roll back the progress which gays and lesbians have made over the past few years with issues such as gay marriage and their acceptance in our society. Although I am certain that President Obama would veto such legislation, it would mean that Congress was wasting time on these things when there are so many more important subjects which need to be addressed.
Since there is little chance that gridlock will completely end because of the Republican lock on the House due to gerrymandering following the 2010 census, it could get a LOT worse if the Republicans take over the Senate. This election will determine just HOW much gridlock we will see over the next two years.

Another Thing I've Noticed Since My Return to BBW Tonight

While I was browsing through some profiles, I noticed something which has DEFINITELY gotten much worse during the time I was away from BBW Tonight.
Before I left, I would get irritated by how many people used the canned profiles that BBW Tonight provided. I have seen a lot fewer of the canned profiles since my return. What I see now though in place of the canned profiles is NOTHING. As in BLANK. As in NADA. As in ZILCH. Many of the profiles I've run across since my return have absolutely NOTHING written in the body of their profiles where one tells others who they are and what they are looking for. I'd rather see the canned profiles, as irritating as they were.
The other parts of many of these profiles are not much better. They will have headlines such as "I'm horny" or "like it or love it" or "entertain me" or similar such drivel, followed by absolutely nothing at all in the body of the profile. The amount of other information they provide is scarce as well. Typically this will include their gender, what gender(s) they are looking for, their birth dates and what language they speak. AND THAT IS IT!
How are we supposed to know whether or not we will have anything at all in common with these people when they tell us absolutely nothing about themselves or who they are looking for? How do they expect to have someone compatible with them contact them when they tell us absolutely nothing about who may actually be compatible with them?
Among the major gripes I've seen from women, and some men as well, is how many people will write to them even though it is apparent that they had not read their profile and they are nowhere close to who they are looking for. Another major gripe is how many of the initial responses to their profiles are only one or two line notes, basically letting them know how much they need to take this person to bed.
I'm not trying to excuse how some people are rude, crude and lewd when they contact others. I do wonder if some of the people who complain that those who contact them are nothing like what they are looking for are some of the ones who have the barest amount of information in their profiles. Do they think we are mind readers?
BBW Tonight supposedly has certain rules about the minimum amount of information that people must include in their profiles. Obviously, they have not been enforcing those rules. It is about time that they began doing so.

I Think I May Have Stumbled on a Way of Dealing with Scammers on IM

I was on the Instant Messaging earlier this evening and I think I have finally figured out a way of dealing with some of these younger women who approach older men there. These are the ones who claim that they are looking for a serious committed relationship that will last the rest of their lives and YOU are the lucky man they have chosen to have it with.
I had two of them tonight whose invitations to chat I accepted, suspecting what was going to happen, especially after checking out their profiles. After saying hello, they went on about how they are looking for the man they would spend the rest of their lives with. After finishing their spiels, they then asked me, "What are you looking for here (on BBW Tonight)?"
I replied, "Companionship, friendship and GREAT SEX!"
The first one couldn't leave the chat room quickly enough! I think the second one was shocked by my answer because she was silent for a moment or so before I typed in, "I guess you don't like great sex, eh?" Within about 5 seconds of me hitting enter, she too had left the chat room!
I think I may have stumbled on a way to finally deal with some of these scammers and will continue trying it to see how long it works. If anyone else tries this, please let me know how you make out with it.

What I Have Found at BBW Tonight Since My Return from My Hiatus

I have been a member of BBW Tonight off and on for a number of years and like everyone, have had good and bad experiences. I had been a paying member for a number of years, but got disgusted by their refusal to do something about the large number of fakes, scammers and spammers,so reverted to a standard membership, which is what I remain.
Yesterday morning I read an excellent post by cocoa4cream [post 3484413] which I feel should be required reading for all new members of BBW Tonight. Most of what she said were common sense things, as well as a reminder to be patient and to treat others with courtesy and respect. These are things I would do anyway, as I have had some success meeting women in the past from here by treating them with the courtesy and respect they deserve for being people and that I expect in return.
I had been away from BBW Tonight for about the past two years, just popping in from time to time to check my messages and to take a quick look around before leaving again. About a month or two ago, I decided it was time to end my hiatus and to spend more time here again and have even restarted my blog.
While I was reading cocoa4cream's post, I began thinking about how some things have changed, some for the better and some for the worse. I have taken advantage of the new Top Fan program that started while I was away, which encourages people, especially standard members, to participate more in the site by awarding points for posting in blogs, user groups and the magazine. People, including standard members can then use these points to bid to become the top fan of a member in whom they might be interested. If you are the #1 fan for someone, you are then able to initiate contact with that person, something which standard members had been unable to do prior to that.
I noticed how the ratio of men to women is still outrageous and if anything, seems to be even worse than it had been. I have kept in touch with a couple of women who have left the site and their reasons for leaving were similar. It was obvious from the way they had been treated by a significant number of men here that it was obvious that most of the men had not read cocoa4cream's post or any of the myriad others similar to it.
I went through my old watched blogs list and saw how a number of the people on it are either no longer on BBW Tonight or are no longer blogging, although a number of them still are. Most of the old user groups I used to belong to are either on the last stages of life support or are already dead. It's a shame because I remember how we used to have some very fun times together, including at some Meet and Greet sessions we had. I see the magazines are still here, although there seem to be a few more trolls there than I remember.
I noticed that the IM system here seems to be even more prone to crashing and doing all sorts of strange things than it had been before. I don't know how many times recently either the person I was trying to reach or was chatting with was thrown off, or the IM system crashed on me. It's gotten to the point where many of us will make our initial contact there and then quickly move to another site because the IM here is so unstable.
I have also noticed that BBW Tonight still has a major problem with fakes and scammers, which I don't think they'll ever be able to completely eliminate. I've run into a number of women who claimed to be from areas within a reasonable distance of me but who were actually from places in Africa or other parts of the world. They'll claim they want to marry you so they can come to this country but of course need you to pay their transportation costs. lol The ones I'm sure are scams and fakes, I report to BBW Tonight, but I'm sure they'll just register under a different name and location and continue their scams from there. Sometimes I wish there was a way we could send a massive electric shock to their computers so they won't be able to scam people like that.
Anyway, I am back again to partake of more exciting adventures here at BBW Tonight. I wish everyone the best of luck finding what it is they are looking for on here and hope everyone will be able to achieve True Happiness.

Somehow My Last Post Was Posted Three Times

I have just discovered that my last post, There Are Still Good People Out There was somehow posted three times on Sunday evening. I have no idea of what happened to cause this, let alone how or why it happened.
I have now deleted the extra two copies. Luckily, they did not have any comments on them. I left the one which had Koffla's comment so people can still share what he had to say as well.
I apologize for any confusion or irritation this may have caused anyone. Although I thought it was important to tell people about something good going on in the world, I did NOT intend to post it three times.
