Just a few tawdry tidbits for a day when facts are suspect...

By the time men reach 24 years of age, 89 percent have had at least one experience with sexual intercourse. The statistic for women at the same age is 92 percent.

At least a quarter of all men have their first sexual intercourse at15 or younger. The statistic is similar for women with 26 percent having intercourse at 15 or younger.

According to a study published in 2000 by the Journal of Marriage and Family, eleven percent of all adults who have been married or co-habitated have cheated on their partner. A University of Chicago study in 1994 showed the rates were higher with 15 percent of women cheating and as many as 35 percent of men cheating.

That same University of Chicago study showed 54 percent of men think about sex daily or several times a day, while only 19 percent of women think about it that frequently.

And the same study reported that 23 percent of all non-married men have NOT had intercourse in the past year.

In a study published in Family Planning Perspectives in 1998, people in their 40s report having sex on average once every five days. In the same study the rate for people in their 20s is once every three days.

In a study published in the Journal of Sexuality and Culture last year, only 14 percent of people admitted to using a sexually explicit website ever.

This should give folks a few items to think about.

All statistical items mentioned here are available through the Kinsey Institute.

Welcome to our monthly review of the best profile shots for women over 35. If you are interested in last month’s review, check out Finer Photos February 2006.

March’s Women

Despite some controversy last time KendraRB9119 stays at the top of the list. I suppose we admire her playful nature.

Desiree2 This woman from Chicago is new to the list. You certainly must say Desiree2 strikes a sultry pose.

beyond2006 Some may question her curves, but beyond2006 looks just fine to me. More than fine really. Enticing.

GoGo4949 The only woman who hails from the original list, GoGo4949 looks like she has plenty of personality to go with those curves.

deliciouslix With this month’s shuffling, deliciouslix makes a return to the list. We love that low-cut top.

(Feel free to list or post your own choices in the comment section.)

Disclaimers

1. These are personal choices. With a site as big as this one, it is impossible to winnow the list to just the top five. My apologies in advance if you feel skipped over or if your favorite was missed. If you have favorites that were passed over, post them.

2. All of the women with the most popular profiles (you see them enough already) and the top female bloggers (for the same reason) have been excluded.

3. My choices are strictly based on profile shots, not other pictures available here.

4. I cannot vouch for any of these profiles. I do not know if they are real or fake, but they have not crossed my radar as questionable yet.

5. All choices are of women who list themselves as over 35 years of age. This blog does not vouch for the actual age of the women in the profiles.

6. I'm here to celebrate the eye candy on the site, not to tick anyone off. If you do not have a sense of humor or you do not like to play with what is on the site, you are not required to look or to participate.

One Year in the Blog...

...and what a long strange trip it’s been!

Aside from the Grateful Dead references though, it has been a lot of fun. Very cathartic. Therapeutic. And a learning experience about life in the virtual world.

The folks who come here for a sample of my mind’s stew compel me to keep cooking it up, so thanks are appropriate:

First, to the readers, thanks for coming back time and again.

This blog has a moderately-sized pack of readers and that’s how this author/editor likes it.

Next, to those who leave comments this author sends a special thanks.

Your interaction makes this more than just a place to record my thoughts. You create the gateway between those thoughts and the virtual world.

Finally, to the special set of bloggers who visit. Thanks for welcoming this boutique of ideas to the Land of Blog.

A few weeks back in Housecleaning the warning went out that some sections of this blog were closing. However, as part of this anniversary celebration, the entire blog has been restored for your reading pleasure, for a limited time only. For those who are new or those who wish to dig beyond the front page of the blog, head to Ruminating about Ruminations for further guidance. And for the very first entry head back to The Existential Question.

Part I

Polls seem to be very controversial these days. Being someone who can’t resist a challenge or sometimes a temptation, I dove in too.

But as usual, with a twist.

Two weeks ago, in the entry Gangbang Stars, the challenge was to see if we could replicate part of a questionable British sex study. The result: we got about half-way there. You might think the results are half-baked, and by any scientific or research method, you’d be right. Polls here aren’t scientific.

In the end, the results actually revealed very little about the different views of men and women concerning group sex. But the results did provide insight about how women and men differ in how they approach sex studies and sex polls.

In a way, the results mirror a study published in The Journal of Sex Research (Yes, a real scholarly publication on sex!) about how men and women differ in how they answer polls and studies on the topic of sex.

This was a study published in 2003 and conducted by two psychologists; one at Ohio State University and the other at the University of Maine. The study used 200 undergraduate students from both schools as test subjects. And the questioning was about how many sex partners they’d had in their lives up to that point.

You may have noticed that I am a flirt.

Let’s face it, in this virtual space, it is hard not to flirt. Plenty of folks do it.

But when is it too much? Or when can it hurt someone?

I know some of the answer to that rhetorical question.

There is a woman I care for deeply on this site. But I hurt her.

The flirting did it.

Part I

You may think busty women need no defending. They do just fine in a breast obsessed world, no?

Well, not so fast.

First, what qualifies as busty? Different people have different opinions on that.

And as we have learned, even busty women have opinions on what they consider to be too busty. (For the earlier threads of this conversation, please see: Too Much of a Good Thing and Fun With Photos, No 3.) Unfortunately, we have also seen how busty women, including busty models, easily become the targets of derision.

Some of this may be because busty women and super busty women are sometimes also BBWs (Big Beautiful Women). Some folks know, I dated a few BBWs in high school, but they were not my primary interest. In graduate school, I dined on a steady sexual diet of BBWs and grew to love their bountiful breasts, some of the very biggest I’ve had the pleasure of toying with in bed. So my view is to defend the busty woman, whether she is a BBW or not, because personally I love their curvaceous forms and lovely physical attributes. It takes someone very big to be too big for me. But my days with BBWs are behind me. However, I am still sensitive to their views.

Your humble author had no idea he was being considered for a BlogLand Blogmie Award for Best Written Blog. But sure enough, this blog is on the list. So thanks to whoever put my name in for the nominations. Others are far more popular, so I don’t expect to win. Just being noticed is nice.

If you are interested in voting, head on over to [blog citizen_five] and the entry: [post 268320].

The Early Stages of Man on AFF Redux;

Lately, she goes by many handles, but here she is known as The Official Caramel Queen.

For those who know this blog or follow the comings and goings in BlogLand, I’m talking about the blogger once known as straightten. Long ago, she was declared The Official Caramel Queen in these parts. She has been one of our best blog buddies for many moons.

For a variety of personal reasons, she had to change her blog and handle recently and she’s asked her friends to point folks in her new direction. She has been a longtime booster of this blog, so it is our turn to give her a hand.

If you like a blog with a bite, a dash of spice, and one guaranteed to get your emotions stirred up, then head on over to her new spot ♣ Getting back to SEXY!!!. Personally, I like a writer who puts it out there and The Official Caramel Queen does just that on a regular basis. She has been on and off the popularity list in the past nine months, and she has one of the more popular polls right now, but her friends in BlogLand are pitching in to aim folks back in the right direction.

So give her a read, and while you are there, admire her sexiest set of pictures posted here yet.
